Privacy Policy

E-console ("we", "us") operates BusinessOS at https://www.econsole.in. This policy explains how we handle information when you use BusinessOS by E-console.
Information we collect
- Account data — Name, email, and organization details from registration.
- Business data — Invoices, inventory, customers, expenses, staff records, and other data you enter to run your business.
- Usage data — IP address, browser, device info, and access logs for security and reliability.
- Authentication — Session cookies and tokens to keep you signed in securely.
- Mobile apps — On Android, we may request camera access for barcode scanning, Bluetooth for receipt printers, and local storage for offline billing data on your device.
How we use information
We use your data to provide and maintain the service, manage subscriptions, send transactional emails, improve security, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your business data to third parties.
Data storage and security
Business data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and tenant isolation per organization. Offline Android data is stored on your device and synchronized when connectivity is available.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These are required for the app to function and are not used for third-party advertising.
India — DPDP Act & your rights
We process personal data as a data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), for purposes of providing BusinessOS by E-console, billing, security, and support. Lawful bases include your consent (at registration), contract performance, and compliance with law.
- Access & correction — Contact us to review or update account or profile data.
- Portability — Organization owners can download a ZIP export (inventory, invoices/sales, purchases, customers, and books where enabled) from Settings → Profile → Download my data.
- Erasure — You may permanently delete your user account from Settings → Profile (type your name to confirm). Organization owners may also delete a non-primary organization from organization settings. Erasure removes cloud copies we control; data on your device remains your responsibility until you delete it locally.
- Grievance — Privacy complaints: admin@econsole.in. We aim to acknowledge within 7 days and resolve within timelines under applicable rules.
- Retention — We keep data while your subscription is active and for a limited period afterward for billing, disputes, and legal obligations, then delete or anonymize unless law requires longer retention.
Marketing & messaging
Transactional messages (receipts, security, billing) are part of the service. Promotional WhatsApp or SMS, if you buy those add-ons, must use customer consent and templates as required by TRAI and platform policies — you are responsible for opt-in records for your end customers.
Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform)
If you enable WhatsApp invoicing or messaging through BusinessOS by E-console, we send message requests to Meta Platforms Technologies (WhatsApp Business Platform / Cloud API) on your behalf. Meta processes customer phone numbers, message content (including invoice PDFs or links you choose to send), delivery status, and related metadata to deliver messages and provide read/delivery receipts.
- Your role — You are responsible for lawful basis and consent to message each customer (including opt-in where required), accurate phone numbers, and approved message templates under Meta's and TRAI rules.
- Our role — We store your WhatsApp Business connection settings, template selections, and message logs needed to operate the feature and troubleshoot failures. We do not use this data for unrelated advertising.
- Meta's role — Meta's terms and privacy policy govern how Meta handles data on its platform. See WhatsApp Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy.
- Retention — Message logs are kept for support, billing disputes, and delivery audit for a limited period, then deleted or aggregated unless law requires longer retention.
Third-party sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google to create or link your account. We do not receive your Google password. Google's use of your data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
